Introducing a new weekly web comic - a 'Phantasmagorical Punk' web comic by me - Daniel Grant Newton

Salut friend!

Thought I'd write to you, my blessed and bodacious blog follower, to tell you of a new web comic (or webcomic as some refer to it), that I'm launching next Friday.

Well, it could be your Thursday, or your Saturday, depending where on this beautiful blue and green planet you hail from.

However, for me, it'll be posted on Fridays, and hence I've called the web comic "Freaky Freaky Friday" so you'll remember when to check back if you like it.  I'll even call one of the characters "Friday" to make it even easier for you to remember ... even though she'll no doubt not like being called that.  But that is the omnipresent power I have as the writer and illustrator of her world.

I'm not sure on what you'd call the style.  It's sort of ... hard to define.  But I think I'll call it 'Phantasmagorical Punk'.  Or I guess you could be boring and call it 'comic fantasy' like someone with dad pants and suspenders would.  And I'm not talking about cool ironic suspenders either.

New Paintings for a Trendy Nepalese Restaurant by Daniel Grant Newton (DGN Productions)

Happy Friday or Thursday (depending on where in the world you are), 

Thought I'd write to you and share two new paintings I have created for a trendy new Nepalese Restaurant opening soon.  

I designed these two paintings to face each other on either side of the restaurant.   

The story in my head being that a woman comes before a stone buddha, and when she closes her eyes to pray with her beads, his eyes open and the sky is encompassed in a red glow. As patrons are in the middle of this moment, they are put into this dream-like reality.

What? Hitler Getting Paint in the Face??

Yep, that's Hitler getting paint in the face and melting like the Wicked Witch of the West.  

I painted this painting for the front cover of my first comic in an oh so exciting series that will be released soon, and before that be showcased in an art gallery opening on August 13th (details to follow).

Hey there.  

Another blog entry, and guess what???

This is actually my 200th entry. So proud to have broken the 200 mark with my faithful readers.  

If I had a Spartan for every blog entry I wrote, well I'd be 100 Spartans away from taking on Persia. But not really. In reality I'd need a lot more to be historically accurate.

However, I have something better than 200-almost-300 Spartan warriors. I have blog readers - YOU! The very best this planet has to offer. The Justice League + Avengers of my life.

So thank you again for sharing my journey, my dreams and my creations with me. And my jokes that are the most hilarious thing ever said, and that you've ever heard... EVER. Even more funny than Eirik Lodbrok's jokes.

Anyway, next post I will post something a little different to celebrate the big 2-0-0, but in the mean time, I'd like to share with you a new painting I have done (above).
